We look forward to welcoming you to the Central Region Engineering Conference scheduled for September 4-7, 2007 at the fabulous Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Our conference theme — "Engage – Execute – Excel" — seeks to raise the level of your expertise in Engineering and hotel management skills. We will be offering training opportunities to empower and motivate you to be a more effective leader of your Engineering and hotel team.

You will meet some of our best vendors and suppliers, as well as key Marriott leadership. This is also a great opportunity to network with your peers in the Central Region and Canada properties. Breakout sessions will cover select topics that are important to you and your operation. You will be asked to choose from a menu of training classes that we will forward shortly. A key focus this year will be training in Marriott's technological tools and processes that will optimize your Engineering operation efficiency.

We also encourage you to take advantage of the wonderful recreational activities offered at this property and in the beautiful surrounding area.

Who should attend?
Central & Canada Region MHR, RHR and MVCI Directors of Engineering or Engineering Managers and Cluster Engineering Managers. (If appropriate, properties are welcome to send their Chief Engineers and other key Engineering Managers/Supervisors at their discretion.)

When do I need to arrive?
Plan on arriving Tuesday, Sept. 4 by 5 PM and departing Friday, Sept. 7 at Noon. Registration will open in the Harbor Beach Ballroom Foyer 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The program will start that evening at 6:00 PM in the Ballroom.

How do I get there?
The local airport is the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Int'l Airport. You will be able to catch a cab from the airport to the hotel. The average cost for the cab is $16.00.

What is the dress code for the meeting?
Dress code is Business Casual (no jackets required) for daytime conference activities and Business attire for Thursday's Awards Dinner. Of course, bring casual clothes for any recreational activities you will be enjoying.

Hotel Accomodations.
